2020 Season Return to Play

Hello Santos families,

I can’t say enough about the feeling of starting our 2020-2021 season, our first season as a league! It’s been rough and exciting and we couldn’t have done it without your patience and support.

But now we’re ready! The start dates will be as follows:

Tuesday, July 28th for 2010s and older (U11-U15)
Tuesday, August 4th for 2011s and younger (U8-U10)

Please watch for an email from your coach with detailed times and fields. All our practices will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays and we will be using the south fields 5, 6 and 7 plus academy.
In order to keep our costs as low as they are, we will be renting most of the north fields to other organizations including ASA and Arsenal SC, our neighbors to the north. It’ll be a great benefit to us.
Please know we will be returning to play with safety precautions. Players will not be required to wear masks during training, but it’s recommended they wear one on their way to the fields. If parents will be at practice we ask that you wear a mask and keep social distance.
ASA (Arizona Soccer Association) has informed us they are planning on a full season of games starting in September.  Precautions may include limiting the number of spectators per field. We are hopeful and plan to be ready for our players to participate.
I am grateful to have worked with many of our 11 teams and communicate with many of you during this past month and a half. However, I still don’t know everyone and am hoping I can eventually claim that I do. The fact that we are a small league allows us to be more available to all of you.
I couldn’t be more excited about working with everyone involved. Our coaches are not only very capable but also great people. We have amazing leadership, hopefully you’ll get to know them all. I took it upon myself to be involved in asking for volunteer team managers, assistant coaches etc., and It made me happy to see people, with or without team manager experience, step up and be willing. We have experienced team managers assisting all newcomers.
You all should have received an official registration link sent to you via email. Please make sure you log on and officially accept your daughter or son’s spot on their individual team and choose a payment plan. This needs to be completed as soon as possible.
IMPORTANT: If you DO NOT feel comfortable having your child return to practice and/or play at this time DON’T. We will respect his/her spot on the team and she/he can return when ready.
Thank you!
Rene Macias
